To start off.. It's a small town where everyone knows everyone. Our parents went to school together, and I went to school with his younger brother Coby. So of course I knew of Austin, and had the most "too good to be true" crush on him, but being we are four years apart, and he went to a different high school than me, we had never officially met... Until my senior year, at a basketball game at my school, I was sitting in the bleachers with my friends when something made me look over at the door to the gym lobby. There, with the sweetest smirk on his face, it was Austin, glancing straight at me. It was the perfect, "when you look but he's already looking" moment! Well, I froze, and immediately snapped my head around to my friend beside me, and asked her to check if he was still looking, and sure enough, he was. So for the rest of the game we kept making eye contact, and every time I just melted, and goodness did I have the worst case of butterflies. After the game was over, I didn't have the guts to go up and say hi, so when I left that night I was kicking myself, because I thought, "well, I blew it that will never happen again." Then, the next day he reached out to me on social media, aka, slid into my DM's. Soon after that, not even a day, we went out on our first date, and that night, I knew I had met the man I was gonna marry one day.
