The unique 4T trail (the four “Ts” being trail, tram, trolley and train) is a self-guided urban nature tour that lets you explore the city — and see some of the best views — without a car. All it takes is about four hours, $5 and a bit of leg power. The route is well marked with signs, and includes about 2.5 miles of walking. You can start anywhere along the trail, but we have included the address for the Oregon Zoo for ease of parking and directions :) Kari strongly believes the best way to end the 4T is with a coffee from Stumptown & Donuts from Blue Star!
Wanna get some coastal time in? Why not take a quick 1.5 hour drive to the oldest city on the west coast? ‘‘O! the joy!” wrote Capt. William Clark as he stood at the Columbia River Estuary in December of 1805 of present day Astoria. Astoria is one of our favorite places and we highly recommend all the breweries! Home of The Goonies, Kindergarten Cop and so much more. Say hello to the sea lions for us!
