Our Wedding

All good things take time

Justin and myself have been engaged since November of 2019 and we are so excited to finally say "I do". We met while Justin was racing for the National off-road dirt bike racing series that I worked for - traveling all over the western US fort the races we just kept bumping into one another while doing what we love, and it manifested into something beautiful. It was almost as if fate brought us together. While he was living 500 miles north and I was working and living in an apartment by myself in Long Beach we had a long-distance relationship for almost a whole year before we decided to finally move all my stuff North for us to start our new life, together. Soo much traveling back and forth (7 hours each way) and sad goodbyes made this such a sweet and anticipated moment. We would finally be together. It was 10 months after I moved in with Justin that he asked me to marry him. I went out of town for Thanksgiving to visit my family down in Southern California and when I came home there was a tiny little fish tank lighting up a beautiful ring hung on a seashell from the very first time, I ever came to visit Monterey. He got down on one knee and I of course said yes! However, we could not fathom spending money on a wedding when we knew we needed to save for a downpayment on a home to live in and shortly after becoming engaged Covid hit, and everything got put on hold. Fast forward to three years later, we finally closed escrow on our home on August 1st, 2022; One milestone down opened the door to tackle the next and so we figured it was the right time to take that big step in becoming one in marriage. We are so excited to share this special day with our family, friends and loved ones. This day is so special to us for so many reasons and one being how we finally get to blend our families. Mine being from the East coast and myself being a Southern California transplant I have not had a ton of opportunities to host family functions, so we are so very excited to finally and formally blend our families and love into one. Our wedding will be held at a special place in the Santa Cruz mountains that Justin spent many summers swimming in the pool, playing t-ball at the fields, skating at their skatepark, swimming in the San Lorenzo River, and ultimately where we had one of our first picnic lunch dates. Highlands county park is beautiful and nostalgic with a vintage garden feel that we adore. Hopefully you will be there to celebrate and bask in the love that will fill the air as we become one.
