Apple cider donuts (by themselves or cut in half and turned into an ice cream sandwich), hot cider, wine, apple picking, and one of the best views of Charlottesville that you'll find - what's not to love?? **Keep in mind that you need tickets to go to Carter Mountain in October**
Charlottesville's Downtown Mall is a great place to spend some time. An outdoor mall completely reserved for pedestrians - there are fun shops, neat bars, and many restaurants just a walk away from most of the hotels in Charlottesville.
Our wedding venue, so you'll make it here eventually, but the winery and tasting room is open daily from 10am - 5:30 pm. So come and enjoy their wine (and the spectacular view of the mountains) before and/or after the wedding too!
Among the many wineries around Charlottesville, Pippin Hill is one of our favorites! Great food, great wine, and a great view.
Another one of our favorite wineries in the area!
If none of our favorite things above appeal, the Monticello Wine Trail has ALL of the winery options that you could ever possibly want.
Thomas Jefferson's historic estate. A neat piece of US history in Charlottesville!
