What time should I arrive at the venue?
Answer
We recommend arriving at the venue around 30 minutes before the ceremony begins. Our ceremony will start promptly at 4:30 PM, so please plan to arrive around 4:00 PM to get settled and find your seat.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?
Answer
Our ceremony will be held outdoors on the Gate House Lawn. The cocktail hour and reception will take place indoors.

What should I wear?
Answer
The dress code for the wedding is cocktail attire. Since the ceremony is outdoors and Vermont can be chilly in October, we suggest dressing warmly or bringing a coat. Ladies may want to consider shoes that work well on grass, as part of the ceremony is on a lawn.

Is there an open bar?
Answer
There will be open bar during cocktail hour and then cash bar to follow for the reception. Sugarbush is a cashless resort so only cards will be accepted as payment.

What is the weather like in Vermont in October?
Answer
Vermont in October is known for its beautiful fall foliage, but the weather can be unpredictable. Daytime temperatures usually range from 50°F to 60°F, while evenings can get cooler, dropping to the 40s or lower. We recommend bringing layers, including a jacket or shawl, especially for outdoor portions of the wedding.

Will transportation be provided?
Answer
Due to the proximity of the lodging to the venue, we will not be providing transportation. Many of the hotels and condos are walking distance or less than five minute drive to the venue. There is also free parking at the venue. There are no Ubers available in this area so please plan accordingly.

Where should I stay?

There are two hotels that can be reserved through our link or through Airbnb. Be sure to book early, as October is a popular time in Vermont due to the fall foliage season.

While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only event, with the exception of the wedding party.
