Ashley met Ashlyn at a random college party in Clemson and the next weekend they were spring breaking in Panama City Beach. During this trip they became pretend twins because everyone asked if they were sisters. They have been best friends ever since. Ashley has been so lucky to stand by Ashlyn’s side while she married Andrew and now Ashlyn will get to do the same!
Matthew McClellan
Best Man
Matthew is Luke’s twin brother and Best Man. He resides in Tampa, Florida with his lovely wife Noelle and their rescue dog Tex. Being twins, Matt and Luke have been best friends since birth which is around the same time that Matt accepted his position as Best Man. Matt can be found reporting live on air for FOX 13 Tampa Bay. He is the only member of the bridal party that is Instagram/Twitter verified. People know him, he’s kind of a big deal, and always stays classy.
Jennifer Trovato
Matron of Honor
Jennifer is Ashley’s older sissy. Jennifer was there through her entire childhood as a best friend. She also gave Ashley some pretty cool nephews. When Jennifer isn’t busy being a nurse you can find her running a 5k somewhere.
Brian McClellan
Groomsman
Brian is the father of both the groom (Luke) and Best Man (Matthew). When he isn’t working in Highlands, North Carolina he can usually be found on the golf course. Although as much as he plays, you’d think he’d have a lower handicap. Brian has completed several marathons, but his greatest accomplishment is raising a good son…and Matt.
Katie Lynam
Bridesmaid
Katie is Ashley’s high school best friend! They became friends through high school soccer and cross country. That led to weekends filled with Step Brothers and Taco Bell. Katie (now Dr. Lynam) has always been the smarter one and even had to tutor Ashley in high school math. They have shared great memories through teenage years, college years, and now as adults!
Ezra Herz
Groomsman
Ezra has been one of Luke’s closest friends since the Sixth Grade. They immediately got along due to common interest in sports and the Lord of the Rings trilogy. After graduating high school, they both attended Western Carolina University where they were perfect angels and always stayed out of trouble. Ezra and his wife Katie recently moved back to Highlands, NC after being in Los Angeles for the past 8 years. Ezra is a screenwriter, and basically the next Martin Scorsese.
Jackie Dendy
Bridesmaid
Jackie and Ashley became friends when she started dating Chad (her now husband). She quickly became one of the gang and has been a great friend ever since! When Jackie isn’t taking care of people’s hearts (literally) you can find her with her handsome boy Apollo.
Chad Dendy
Groomsman
Chad met Luke through Ashley and they became fast friends. He is the engaged to Jackie (bridesmaid) and dog dad to Dutch Shepherd Apollo. Chad is a serial hugger. If you know Chad, you’ve probably been hugged by Chad, with or without consent.
Brandi Johns
Bridesmaid
Brandi is a college bestie who Ashley has stayed close with. They had great times in Clemson that consisted of breaking it down at 356 on Friday nights and cheering on the Tigers on Saturdays! These days Brandi is a wifey to Hunter and mommy to Mason.
Andy King
Groomsman
Andy & Luke met through Ashley. He welcomed Luke into Ashley’s friend group and they quickly developed a friendship of their own. Andy moved to Arizona in 2019, but after two years away from Luke, he realized that the distance was putting a strain on their relationship and decided to move back to Greenville. Andy is a Sully’s Steamers sponsored athlete and bagel enthusiast.
Kathryn Tabone
Bridesmaid
Kathryn (aka Kat) is Ashlyn’s baby sister. Ashley and Kat started out as both bridesmaids in Ash’s wedding which grew through the years to roommates and close friends! During Kat’s stay at Ashley’s house, she really enjoyed cat sitting for Ashley’s 2 cats Bella and Little Bit (not really).
Drew Reese
Groomsman
Drew and Luke met while working for the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office. When Luke found himself without a place to live, Drew offered for him to crash on his couch for a few weeks. A few weeks turned into a few more, and Drew decided to build Luke a guest room in the garage of his house (formally the “Blue Cube”). Drew is husband to the hair extraordinaire Jamie, and super dad to Trip, Em, Carter, and Ford. Drew can also be referred to as River Pirate Tom, due to his and Luke’s time spent terrorizing the Saluda River in a bright orange kayak.
