She has this incredible ability to show up exactly when I need her, to say the right thing, and to remind me of who I am when I forget. Her heart is big, her loyalty is unmatched, and her sense of humor has carried us both through so much. Having her as my Maid of Honor is so much more than a title. It’s a reflection of the unbreakable bond we share. My amazing little sister, and the life of every family gathering! She’s smart, sassy, and has the biggest heart. Watching her grow has been one of the greatest joys of my life. Whether she’s dancing around the house, asking a million questions, or surprising us with her fierce determination, she reminds me every day how lucky I am to be her big sibling. Having her as our flower girl means the world to me. My dad has always been one of my greatest hero's. From the time I was little, he’s been the steady, loving presence in my life. The one who taught me how to ride a bike, how to believe in myself, and how to find humor in the most stressful moments. He’s the kind of dad who would drop everything to be there when I needed him, whether it was helping with homework, fixing something I broke (again), or just giving the world’s best hugs. His quiet strength, wisdom, and gentle heart have always made me feel safe and supported, even when life felt overwhelming. While planning this wedding he has reminded me of just how lucky I am to have had him in my life. There isn’t a moment of this wedding that I don’t wish he could be part of walking me down the aisle, giving one of his classic dad speeches, or sneaking a proud smile from across the room (with a wink). But I know he’s here in all the little things: in the love that surrounds us, in the joy we feel, and in the values he passed down that will always be a part of me. As I walk down the aisle, I will not be alone. Though my father is no longer here to take this walk with me, his love and memory remain alive in my heart. In his place, I’ll be accompanied by a man who has loved me, protected me, and helped raise me with the same strength and tenderness my daddy did- my Pawpaw. Pawpaw has been more than a grandfather. He’s been a quiet hero in my life, always steady, always kind, always present. He has shown me what it means to love unconditionally, to give selflessly, and to lead with grace. When I lost my dad, I lost a piece of my heart, but in so many ways, Pawpaw helped hold the rest of it together. Walking with him on this most sacred day is an honor. It’s a bridge between my past and my future and a way to carry my daddy’s spirit with me while being supported by the man who helped shape him into the father he was. But behind the humor is someone deeply loyal, dependable, and thoughtful. He’s been a constant source of support for the groom, whether offering advice, perspective, or simply making sure things never feel too serious for too long.
