So I met Jeremy in February of 2016. I had just started my new job at Wilks Whitetail a few weeks prior. Everything was still new and before meeting Jeremy I had only been to one other deer auction (the weekend before). I had met and seen 100s of new faces at the first auction... some of these people I know I introduced myself to multiple times. When me and my boss at the time arrived at our hotel in San Antonio, for my second auction, we noticed some deer breeders in the lobby bar area. I followed my boss to this group of strangers to find out I had met most of them multiple times the weekend before. I just said hello and awkwardly stood and listened to the conversations between them. While standing there I was looking at this group of people to try and see if I really knew everyone already, which I did except for Jeremy. (we stood there for like 10-15 min). While looking through these people I kept awkwardly catching eye contact with Jeremy and I could just feel him looking at me while I wasn’t looking. #awkward. I then went to check in and proceeded to get on the elevator where my boss and Jeremy were waiting. My boss was telling him how he was going to a meeting super early in the AM and basically asked if I could catch a ride with him To the Auction. I was nervous to ride with this guy who had a staring problem but at least he was handsome. We exchanged numbers so he could contact me. I think I woke up early and ended up just going to the meeting.Later, We arrived to the show and I might have talked to Jeremy for 15 minutes all weekend. Fast forward to March in Tulsa OK we arrived at another auction and one night after the auction was over, everyone was in the lobby deciding what they were going to do. Some went to the casino, some went to eat and some went to bed. It was Saint Patrick’s day and Jeremy and I were left not wanting to do any of those so we jumped in a cab and went to some bars on the square where we ran into other deer people!

The first time we met was at deer auction. Sitting in the lobby talking with friends about deer of course. I noticed Jessica sitting across from me and I thought she was beautiful. I also noticed that she kept staring at me (Creeper). Every time I looked over she was staring. This went on for a little while until we all left. We did exchange numbers and she was gonna ride with me to the auction the next day but the next morning she text and said she decided to leave early. I think she was scared of me or something. We talked here and there throughout the show but that was pretty much it. A month or so later we met up again at another auction. One night for St. Patrick's day a bunch of us we're going out. So we took a cab together to meet up with friends. We had a blast that night everywhere we went. Towards the end of the night I gave her a rose and stuffed animal that was a duck. She kept the rose but gave the duck away to some drunk lady that rode in the cab with us back to the hotel. Since that night we have been inseparable. She is my best friend and the love of my life and I thank god everyday for bringing us together

After our outing in Tulsa I didn’t even consider anything of it until we arrived home and Jeremy was calling me daily. By April we were officially dating. He actually asked me to be his girlfriend after we cooked ramen noodles for dinner one night 😂 We weren't looking for anyone at the time but we just so happened to come into each other’s life’s at the right time when we needed one another. I knew early on that Jeremy was the one. It wasn’t until July 4 of 2016, that I met Ryleigh. We also had an instant connection and have since. She is definitely the most hyper and outgoing little girl that keeps us laughing! Jeremy and I love to travel and seem to as soon as we have enough money saved. In the 3+ years of being together we’ve been to Costa Rica and Jamaica. With neither of us wanting a huge wedding and always wanting to go on another trip we decided to travel and have our closest family and friends join us to celebrate our wedding. Never in a million years did I think I would be engaged to an older guy or about to become a stepmom (still all a crazy Idea). I never was the girl who sat and daydreamed about her future family or wedding but now that I have it , I couldn’t imagine a better family to join and to plan a wedding and future with, I’m so excited and couldn't imagine it any other way! I love you Ryleigh and Jeremy Mccann!
