Like many midwesterners we met over a cold beer and cornhole…in the middle of a scorching hot AZ summer. Jordan nearly went out to Old Town for the night, but decided on what he thought would be a more low key evening. But turns out, he met his future wife that night. It was not her great cornhole skills that won him over, rather her dance moves when Shainia Twain came on. Jordan eventually asked Taylor out on a first date, to now our favorite restaurant, Ingos. Like any normal date, it started with a cocktail and dinner on the patio, but mother nature decided to toss a Haboob in the mix (violent wind and sand storm). This eventful first date created a lasting memory we won’t forget and was the start for many more memories. Some of our favorite memories include traveling to Seattle, San Diego and Prescott. We have celebrated Jordan’s PT graduation and career milestones. Our relationship was put to the test by surviving a pandemic together in a small apartment that eventually lead to us buying our first house and many DIY projects. We love our Iowa and Michigan trips to see family that have included birthdays, Ingersol bar crawls, graduations, and tubing down a river. We are very excited for the many memories that are to come. The proposal was a COMPLETE surprise to Taylor. On July 3rd, Taylor had a candid conversation with Jordan about if they would ever get married, since so many of our other friends were already getting engaged or married. Little did she know, Jordan had the ring for 3 months already and planned the proposal for July 4th. Taylor’s family was in town and Jordan was working at the hospital that day but planned a family dinner at a local restaurant and then greyhounds at Ingos (see what he did there??). They went back to the house and with the sneaky help from a couple friends who had set the scene. Jordan was able to pull off the surprise proposal. And now we can’t wait to celebrate our wedding day with our closest famiily and friends!
