We had known of each other for awhile, we even were dance partners in a Brightstone Christmas show, but it wasn't until I left for college that we caught each other's eyes through Apple Watch Competitions. Pretty sure our friends knew we liked each other before we realized it. After I came back from school for summer break, we went on our second date. I had one foot out the car door when Josh asked me to be his girlfriend. I promptly got back in the car, closed the door and we have been on the most amazing adventure ever since.

I invited Josh on our family trip to Disney world for my brother's graduation trip. On the first day, we had a photo appointment to take photos in front of the castle--which I was told we needed due to COVID-19 restrictions. We took some photos, and Josh took me by the hands and said, "Ashley, can I just say something crazy?" Lots of premature yesses, jumping, and gasps later, Josh proposed, and the rest is history.
