FAQs

Question

Is it still going to be hot in Dallas during September?

Answer

Dallas in September resembles an Indian Summer in other parts of the country with temperatures very likely in the 90s and humid. Have no fear though, the air conditioner is a Texan's best friend and businesses blast the arctic air! Just be prepared to glisten, not sweat, in the warm outdoors!

Question

What do I wear to Mass?

Answer

We ask that you dress reverently for the sacrament that Christina and Justin are entering and the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. But of course include your own personal flair! Please no jeans. You can get as decked out as you want... bow tie, top hat, sparkles, fascinator!! It will be air conditioned in the church, so a light sweater or jacket may be needed depending on your comfort level.

Question

Where have all the cowboys gone?

Answer

That depends. Which cowboys are you looking for? America's team, the Dallas Cowboys (who trail the New England Patriots in Super Bowl wins, 6 to 5, however, just remember how they won...deflation), are housed in Arlington at Jerry's World, 25 miles west of our wedding. The real cowboys, the cow handler kind, can be found out and about in Fort Worth. A visit to the Stock Yards could lead you to some great adventures.

Question

What does the Covid-19 situation look like in Dallas? What are local health regulations and guidelines?

Answer

As of this writing, Dallas County is re-opening. Covid-19 cases have risen within the state. Social distancing is still being practiced and enforced. Masks are required inside all buildings. This situation is fluid and we will keep you posted with ongoing updates about ongoing safety procedures. We recognize that Covid is of deep concern to all of you and your health and safety is of the utmost importance to us. Per Dallas Diocese Regulations, masks are required at all times in the church. Holy Communion is only dispersed in the hands and social distancing is practiced.
