Question

Will things start on time?

Answer

Unlike most weddings where they tell you a time and the ceremony doesn’t actually start until 30 minutes later, we will be starting at exactly 4 pm. Please arrive promptly as we are timing our ceremony with sunset times.

Where can I park?

Answer

Parking for the ceremony can be found on the right side (if you are driving up the road from Kelly Dr) of Midvale Ave or at the East Falls train station parking lot. Much of the surrounding area is 2-hour parking, but there are unmarked zones just be aware of the signs. We also encourage ride-share services from the hotel, which is only 8 minutes from the ceremony location.

What is your rain plan?

Answer

Our ceremony will be happening outside rain or shine. In the event that it rains please plan accordingly with proper footwear and an umbrella. If the rain is looking dangerous though, we will email you in the morning with a plan B.

Will there be seating at the ceremony?

Answer

There will be no seating at the ceremony venue. Our ceremony will be in the courtyard of the Falls of Schuylkill Library. We expect the ceremony to last 15-20 minutes. If you need accommodations for seating, please reach out to us directly so that we can have a chair for you.

How do I get to the reception space?

Answer

After the ceremony at the library, we will walk together from the library to The Black Squirrel Pub and Haunt. This is a half-mile walk downhill.

What is for dinner?

Answer

For dinner, we will be working directly with The Black Squirrel to create a custom dinner menu. We will send out an email with requests for meal selections when the menu is finalized in October. Please let us know promptly if you have dietary restrictions so we can make specific notes.

Are you having a farewell brunch the next day?

Answer

Yes! There will be an informal brunch at the Landing Kitchen which is in the hotel where guests are staying.
