On Thanksgiving 2019, Kelli and Chris were surrounded by family and friends from different corners of the country. Chris' parents were the epitome of hosts...amazing food, beautiful setting, and flowing drinks. Everyone was laughing, playing, and having a blast. However, a slightly disappointed Kelli snuck outside to confide in her sister about how she was so sure Chris would find this a golden opportunity to propose in front of her family. She had really hoped today would be the day. The following day, after walks in the sand and a fabulous day with family...she assumed the moment had passed and settled into the idea of enjoying the new moment. Chris knew he couldn't possibly be predictable...he needed to catch her off guard. The whole day, the family had been sneaking flowers into the house through a bathroom window, fetched champagne glasses, and hid the ring where she wouldn't find it. Kelli went for a walk with her sister while family and friends took a moment to set the scene and make it perfect for the nervous Chris. When she returned, her handsome man had set up a beautiful beach spot overlooking the California sunset. Rose petals covered the ground and the sweet Chris took a knee with family peeking through fences to see an ecstatic Kelli throw a ring over the balcony and cry out "yes!" Wait...what? Did she throw the ring and then say yes?? No, of course not! In her haste to accept his proposal and gorgeous ring, she had rid herself of another piece of jewelry that had been in his way! Whew! We laughed, we cried, we toasted to love and future adventures...and the rest is history. #imrieinlove
