In the fall of 2017, we met in a small English class at Forsyth Technical Community College. Over the next couple of months, we continued our friendship taking classes together, and going on breakfast trips, and ice cream runs. Soon our friendship separated when Alex went to NC State and I went to Appalachian. Our friendship continued to grow as we would visit each other at school. Alex and I never had a dull moment together. Going to football games, baseball games, traveling to new places, or the beach. We always had fun together. When Abby and I first came to know each other, I knew I had found someone special. I had to use all the tricks up my sleeve to have her agree to go on a date with me. After much convincing, she agreed to have Biscuitville with me one morning and it took off from there. The more I learned about her, the more I liked her, the more I fell in love with her. I had found the perfect person to balance my energetic personality with someone calmer and more down to earth. She was one of my biggest supports during the major choices in my life and I couldn’t have asked for a better best friend and future wife to start a family. There were no questions when the topic of marriage came up in our relationship. We knew we wanted to be together. It wasn't just about shared interests or common goals but the feeling of completely understanding each other. Our trips continued to our favorite place, Charleston, SC which led to the best night of dinner for two and an engagement at the end.
