Having first met whilst working at the University of Cambridge, where a similar sense of humour drew each other closer. Numerous days and nights out followed normally involving Brahma (Brazilian beer) and lots of giggles. A day trip to Alton Towers with Cristina's cousin Maria encouraged further laughter and a late night trip to Cristina's brother's bar to dance salsa (Matt needed some persuading) was where their journey together really began. Attending some friends and family weddings together soon led to Cristina and Valeria moving in with Matt where their similar sense of humour and happiness is very apparent. A mutual love to travel has led them on some exciting journeys around the world including Santorini, Thailand and New York with many more planned in the future. Looking forward to celebrating with all of our favourite people and starting this new chapter together.

A spring walk through Central Park led to Wagners Cove, a lakeside pavilion where Cristina had no idea where she was being taken. On route Cristina settled Matt's nerves by being more concerned with reading signs involving fishing rights than where they might have actually been going. Once on the lakeside, Matt knelt on one knee and asked for Cristina's hand in marriage to which she said YES!
