Alfredo and MC’s first meeting was like something straight out of a rom-com—if the rom-com were set in a health center with CPR demos and a lot of awkward energy. MC was doing her co-op at Drexel when she and Alfredo crossed paths. It was one of those moments where time slows down, and you just know something is about to happen. As he handed her a CPR flyer, they both shared that classic "look back over the shoulder" moment, and MC’s heart did a little flip. She thought he was soooo cute, she immediately knew. Determined to see him again, she went around like a mad woman on a mission, rallying her coworkers to join her for the VR CPR demo. “He’s so cute,” she gushed to anyone who would listen, as if she'd just been struck by Cupid's lightning bolt. During the demo, MC was so nervous that she accidentally yanked out all the wires (back when VR had wires in circa 2017), causing the entire system to crash. Alfredo, the good sport that he was, couldn’t help but laugh. He had to reboot everything, while MC stood there in full-on panic mode, certain she’d just blown her one shot with the charming CPR guy. But fate (and a little bit of Facebook stalking) had other plans. With nothing but a flyer and an email address to go off of, MC found Alfredo on Facebook. After a few digital exchanges, they started texting, and soon enough, Alfredo was asking her out. Their first date? South Bowl for some competitive bowling and Franklin Fountain for a sugar overload. And the rest, as they say, is history.
