Hotel

Mission Point Resort

One Lake Shore Drive, Mackinac Island, MI 49757
 906) 847-3000

This is where we will be having the wedding ceremony and reception on Friday, July 4th. Booking code is here: https://www.reseze.net/servlet/SendPage?hotelid=1720&skipfirstpage=true&page=119256 Very small discount (5%) with the booking code, but worth utilizing!

Travel Note

Hotel Search

This is a great website that allows you to search resort, hotel, motel, B&B and condos for rent options. Encourage you to look through this and book as early as possible!

Hotel

Hotel Iroquois

7485 Main Street, Mackinac Island, MI 49757
 906) 847-3321

This is a beautiful hotel on Lake Huron, similarly-priced (or potentially higher) than Mission Point Resort. This is more quaint for a more private and intimate setting! Just under a one-mile walk to/from the ceremony and reception.

Hotel

Grand Hotel

286 Grand Avenue, Mackinac Island, MI 49757
 1-800-33GRAND

This is the most "grand" place to stay on the island, and one of the most expensive. If you are looking to make this a grand vacation, this is one of our recommendations. The Grand Hotel is a staple on the island, tons of history, and the movie "Somewhere in Time" was also filmed here! Let us know what questions you have!

Travel Note

Ferry Information (Getting from Main Land to Island)

Depending on what direction you are arriving from, you will need to get to either Mackinaw City or St. Ignace. From there, we recommend you book round-trip tickets on Sheplers Ferry to get to Mackinac Island. Ferry time to Island is roughly 20 minutes. You'll get great views of the historic Mackinac Bridge and of the Island! The ferry runs every 30 or so minutes. Tickets can be booked in advance online via the website. Adult round-trip is $34, children 5-12 are $23 round-trip and infants under 5 are free. No need to book for a specific time as you can hop onto the next ferry once you arrive. Information on parking your cars at the dock is all available on the website. Reach out to Chris or Julia with questions.

Flight

Flying to the Main Land

If you are coming from out of state (and/or out of driving distance), you'll want to fly from your hub to Pellston, Michigan. Pellston is approximately 20-30 minutes from Mackinaw City which is the closest port to get a ferry to the Island (see Ferry information within this page). There is a shuttle service from the Pellston Airport to Sheplers Ferry Dock called Mackinaw Shuttle Service (see information within this page). Super easy to get on the shuttle and they will take you right to the dock and pick you up at the same place coming back. Chris and I did this in August 2024 and was super easy and convenient! Let us know what questions you have!

Shuttle

Mackinaw Shuttle Service (from Pellston Airport to Mackinaw City Sheplers Ferry)

July 3, 2025 12:00 am

This is the shuttle service to/from Mackinaw City from the Pellston, Michigan airport. https://mackinawshuttle.com/ Super easy to purchase round-trip tickets right in the airport . Unfortunately, you will be very hard-pressed to find an Uber from Pellston, so this shuttle service is the best recommendation. Super easy to get to the Island and from the Island back to the Pellston Airport. Let us know what questions you have!
