Eddy and I had worked together for about two years, but until May 2018 we were always on opposite shifts. On a mutual day off we both attended the same work function at Shady Oaks Country Club in Amboy. A co-worker approached me with a folded up note and said, "This is from Eddy." I knew he was up to no good so I wouldn't take it (haha!). The note got passed around until a group of them finally called me out. Eddy's cheeks turned red when I responded with, "He has my number". That afternoon he sent me a message apologizing on his co-workers' behalf, eventually asking me out to dinner. One week later we had our first date at The Forest Inn and we've been together ever since. I was right about the note, his co-workers wrote it - - it said, Will you go out on a date with me? Eddy - - and it still hangs on our fridge! He doesn’t like to give them any credit...

We escaped to Scottsdale, AZ for some good weather and relaxation. On our first full day we decided to hike Pinnacle Peak. With Eddy motivating me we made it to the top and walked a little farther to "Owl's Rest", where we sat down to enjoy the view and wait for the crowd to clear. Once we were alone, I was enjoying the view from the lookout when I felt him tap me on the arm. When I turned toward him I saw the ring and he got down on one knee! After having our moment a woman approached us to let us know she took pictures of the entire thing! We didn't even know she was there but we sure are glad she captured the special moment for us!
