Our story is different, but unique and totally us. We met on Tinder. You know, the online dating app where most relationships are hard to come by. You swipe left and right only to hope your next match will be the one. Yeah {fist bump} we did it! It was a perfect match, he was a nightclub manager and I was a civil engineer {ok maybe not so perfect}. But we hit it off well over dinner the first time we met. And the rest is history...
We went for a weekend of camping in one of Chris's most favorite places, Yosemite National Park. Michael wasn't feeling too well the morning of the proposal, and we had a hike planned... a BRUTAL hike. It was to the top of Glacier Point, only a mere 3,000 feet of elevation gain in four miles. No problem when you are feeling sick right? Well we did it anyway with the assistance of friends. We had a proposal planned on a top of a mountain after all and it was not going to come easy. When we got to the top we were exhausted and ready for lunch. When Michael ran into his parents he was totally oblivious to the fact that something special was happening. We were all a bit surprised he didn't catch on right away, but we continued forward! Chris took a deep breath and proposed to Michael at the overlook. It was both picturesque and romantic. But someone was missing... our friend Dave (who was not aware of the planned proposal) was distracted by the beautiful view and had gone missing. There were pictures, hugs, and most importantly "Where's Dave?!" by one of our friends in the proposal video. To be honest, our proposal would not have been complete without Dave's absence... I mean presence! We sincerely thank him for that. Best proposal ever.
