Our wedding has been altered some, due to COVID. You will need to check in at the office of the camp for a brief screening questionnaire. You will be requested to wear your mask when entering the main buildings or when you cannot physically distance from people outside your household. With the new stage rollout, our wedding looks like it will fall into Stage 2. At this time the rules & limitations are not clear for Stage 2 and we are waiting on more information. Should this change and guest list numbers have to be condensed, we will do our best to inform everyone as soon as possible & return any payments on rooms. If you have any additional COVID-related questions, please do not hesitate to text us or visit Camp Kintails Healthy & Safety page below: https://www.campkintail.ca/summer-programs/health-safety/
Great question. It is pronounced NILL - UH - ZAIRE - UCK. Nieleszeruk.
The dress code for the wedding is semi-formal or dressy casual. All events will be held outside, so jackets/shawls are recommended. Also, ground around the facilities is soft so stilettos aren't recommended.
Weather history for this date has typically been about a high of 20-24 degrees Celsius with a low of 12-16 degrees Celsius but this is Ontario so you can count on unpredictable weather! Jackets/shawls are recommended for the evening.
The facilities around the Camp are NON SMOKING. There is a smoking area in the main parking lot ONLY.
The ceremony will be held in the camp's outdoor chapel, overlooking Lake Huron. Cocktail hour will be held outdoors where there will be tables and games set up. Due to Covid-19 the reception will now be held entirely outdoors under tents.
After the ceremony, guests will be escorted to the adjacent Harmony House for Cocktail Hour which will include hors d'oeuvres, drinks and games.
Guests are welcome to arrive Friday night at the camp if they choose. Guests can explore the camp and enjoy a bonfire. The wedding party and Bride & Groom's family will be having a Rehearsal dinner Friday night and will not be available to host guests. Guests can bring their own dinner, cook dinner in the camp's kitchen or visit neighboring towns, Goderich or Kincardine, for restaurants, pubs or breweries nearby. If bringing beverages, please make sure they are in cans instead of bottles. **Please note the camp is a NUT FREE site so any food brought must be compliant**
You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no” here on the website (see "RSVP") so we can plan accordingly.
We recommend that you arrive 30 - 45 minutes before the start of the ceremony, to make sure everyone is on time and we can get the party started as scheduled! If you are checking in and want to set up your cabin/room please do not arrive any later than 2:30pm to do so.
Parking is free. When you enter the camp, there will be a lot to your right for parking. Should this be full, any over flow parking can go along the trees on the left side across from the main parking lot.
Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.
