Wedding Party

The Wedding Website of Rachel McConnell-Switzer and Mark Ogden
Meet our family and friends who are standing by our side on our special day.

Tamara Barlow

Maid of Honor

Tamara and Rachel have been soul sisters since they met in 2002 in Ms. Miller's 9th grade English class at Magnet High School. They bonded over countless sleepovers with lots of junk food, chick flicks, and yes, even Harry Potter reading parties (we're nerdy like that). Through college, grad school, lots of jobs, and several moves they've continued to be chosen sisters.

Kyle Tatum

Best Man

Practically raised together, Mark and Kyle grew up close. A best friend and confidant, Kyle has been there for Mark since they were kids. When it came to choosing a best man, it was a simple choice. A continuing source of support, kind words, and lots of laughs, Kyle has stayed close with Mark through thick and thin. Mark is honored to have him standing by his side on his big day.

Christene Hixon

Bridesmaid

College suitemate, Religious Studies major, and choir sister, Christene and Rachel met at Centenary. Rachel didn't think Christene liked her at first, but they soon became close friends and had ALL the theological conversations and late night dance parties. Today they still talk a lot -- theology AND social work! Their friendship continues to be one filled with mutual respect and support, professionally and personally.

Cotton O'Neal

Groomsman

A close Ogden family friend, Cotton has been a steady presence and incredible friend to Mark. Whether it's sitting on the back porch or in the living room, Cotton offers the best advice and always has a fun story or two to tell. Hopefully at the wedding he won't have too many embarrassing ones to share!

Ashley Ramsey

Bridesmaid

Ashley and Rachel didn't meet until the end of their first year of college at Centenary. They bonded over their love for music, their school challenges, and their common love for DFW (where both were born). As they sat on the steps behind the SUB, they discovered they were both in the market for roommates and the rest is history! To this day, Ashley is one of Rachel's favorite shopping buddies and, though they live cross-country from one another, they remain besties.

Evan Kostelka

Groomsman

Mark and Evan became friends through their Sunday School class. They struck up a quick friendship, enjoy monthly game nights, and helping each other out when they need a little friendly help. Mark's glad to have such a friend by his side.

JP McGovern

Usher

JP grew up with a cool uncle who taught him how to play all types of video games. Mark and JP still play a game or two together on Xbox, though who will win is anybody's guess. Mark loves supporting JP by attending football games and offering a word or two of advice from time to time. Mark is proud of the man JP is becoming, and he's grateful to have him at his side on his wedding day.

Chris Middleton

Usher

Mark and Rachel both know Chris through Noel UMC. One of the regular youth counselors and a youth Sunday School teacher during her middle and high school years, Rachel got to know Chris as she was growing up. When Mark started attending Noel, he discovered that Chris was a family friend from the days when Mark's parents attended the same Sunday School as Chris. Chris has been a blessing to Mark and Rachel over the past few years and they're glad he's going to be with them on their big day.

Addison McGovern

Guest Book Attendant

Like her older brother, Addison grew up learning video games with her Uncle Mark. Though they don't play many video games together anymore, Mark still gets to support Addison's other interests. An accomplished dancer, Addison dances in the Nutcracker and numerous other performances during the year, and Rachel and Mark have been to several. It's a joy to see Addison growing into an accomplished student, artist, and performer, and Mark and Rachel are grateful she'll be participating in their wedding.

H. Muckleroy

Flower Girl

Daughter to one of Rachel's best friends, Erin Muckleroy, H is a sweet 7-year-old who loves reading and playing with friends. She and Rachel share a birth month and a love of all water activities! Confident, sassy, and smart as a whip, she is the perfect choice for flower girl. Rachel hopes this opportunity will make H's flower girl princess dreams come true!
