Believe it or not, we met during a church service. While away at school, Ester had a hard time traveling to and from church. One day, she decided to attend, and there he was—Afonso. He would often glance her way, but with him being a pianist, she thought it was just a normal part of his routine. To her surprise, Afonso approached her after church. He mentioned that he was new to the area and was looking to make friends and connections.
