In the summer of 2022, Melissa Ann had just completed her Master's program and was looking forward to beginning her career as an Occupational Therapist. Brendan was working as an EMT and was focusing on his dream of becoming a firefighter. They met on the dating app Hinge and were both hopeful, yet hesitant about finding love online. However, they quickly realized they had found something special. Unfortunately they were not able to meet in person for a few weeks and relied on Face Time calls and text messaging to learn about one another and build their connection. When it was finally time for their first date, the pair felt like they had known each other forever. Their first date was at Filomena's restaurant in Franklin Square and was followed by a trip to Long Beach to watch the sunset. The date went so well that the pair decided to see each other again the next day! Since then, Melissa Ann and Brendan have moved in together and created a beautiful home with each another and their cat "daughter" Peanut. Brendan is currently undergoing training as fire fighter at the FDNY academy and will be graduating right before the wedding! The couple are looking forward to the many adventures that life has in store for them once they become husband and wife!
