In the Fall of 2020, Nick began music school at Kutztown University, where Christina was a senior. He went searching for jazz band audition sign ups, where Christina and her friends were hanging out. Christina noticed Nick looked confused and approached him to help him get signed up. When Nick said he was a drummer, Christina’s interest was piqued. They ended up being in the same Songwriting class that semester, where they took quiet interest in each other. One day, over Zoom, Nick presented a song and Christina messaged him saying she enjoyed it. She thought, “If Nick messages me when I present my song, I’ll give him my number.” And he did message her! So they chatted all through winter break, Christina in New Jersey and Nick in Indiana. Nick suggested they watch a movie over FaceTime, so they watched Ratatouille. They had their first date at Christina’s home in Kutztown, where they cooked ratatouille together. That Spring, Christina graduated from Kutztown and decided to move to Nashville. She asked Nick if he’d follow her down south once he graduated, nervous she’d scare him off by asking such a big question so early in the relationship. But Nick said he’d follow her anywhere, and after 1.5 years of long distance he moved to Nashville in January 2023. In Nashville they work together at a music curriculum company called QuaverEd and share a cozy townhome together, yet never tire of each other’s company. They play lots of games with their friends and go on frequent adventures to cities across the country. Nick proposed to Christina in their home in November of 2024, and they’ve been joyfully planning their wedding ever since!
