How They Met

Andrew and Danielle met in May of 2016 in Boston when Danielle began working at PYMNTS. Andrew had already worked there for a year, and the two quickly become great friends. That connection grew and grew each day and months later they went on their first date to get $1 oysters at Sterlings (yum). They fell in love soon after that, and the rest was history. Andrew and Danielle made the move from Boston to New York City, checking another city off the list. Through COVID, career changes, and adopting a (sometimes crazy) cat, Rue, Andrew and Danielle knew they could conquer anything together.

How He Asked

August 12th, 2021

While Danielle was out to dinner with her family in East Hampton, Andrew took the trip from New York City on Thursday to set up the backyard of the house they were staying at. Earlier in the week, Andrew had told Danielle that he would be heading to the Hamptons on Saturday. As Danielle and her family returned home from dinner, she was instructed to take Olive (her family frenchie) out for a walk. As she opened the door to the backyard, Danielle was greeted with candles, white flower petals, and balloons. As she walked down the candlelit aisle, she was surpised to see Andrew standing there. Andrew took Danielle’s hands in his and recited this poem: “I thought it was only fitting to recite this to you in rhyme, but I’m keeping it short and sweet so you’ll remember every line. It wasn’t long after meeting before I loved you quite a bit, Danielle Mazzilli Faryniarz has quite a nice ring to it. So here I am DM, down on one knee, asking you if you will marry me.”
