Brett uprooted from New York for a job in Boston and Samantha had just moved to Boston to start her first job. On Samantha's first day she met Brett and there was an immediate connection. They talked to each other for hours that night. Samantha and Brett's first date was in a park where they went for a walk. Afterwards they both immediately called their friends and said they just went on the date with the person they could spend the rest of their lives with.
