Can't wait to celebrate with you!

We have spent our whole lives mere moments from meeting each other. Tyler grew up in Ashton and Kara grew up in Olney, only 10 minutes apart from each other. From having mutual friends, to hanging out in the same places, to even graduating high school together, it still took us 33 years to meet. Kara will say it was only 32 years for her. She loves saying she is the "younger" one even though we were both born in 1989. We met on Hinge. Thank goodness for dating apps! One of the first things Tyler said to Kara was "How are we both 32, Jewish, from the Olney area, and have never met before?". Some discovery led us to finding out we have a lot of mutual friends and acquaintances and we were surprised to find out that we had never met before. We talked for days on end until our first date on 2/19/2022. Little did we know, that first date would last for 14 hours. We began the day at Lone Oak Brewery, went out to lunch, and even made our way to Main Event where we got very competitive when playing video games. Kara would be remiss if we didn't mention that she won overall that day. For those that do not know, Kara's parents were engaged 6 months after their first date. Tyler joked very early on that he and Kara would beat that. That turned out to not be a joke. We both knew that we had found the right person for us. Tyler, sweating through every article of clothing he had due to being nervous, proposed to Kara with a sunset backdrop on Solomons Island in southern, MD on 7/23/2022, only 5 months after they had met. The rest is history!
