Everyone's health is our top priority. We anticipate the majority of guests will be fully vaccinated by August, and we won't be requiring masks outdoors. Events will be outdoors, with plenty of room for people to interact and distance to their comfort level. If you are worried about being in close proximity to others, you may want to consider staying offsite to increase your privacy.
Yes! We leave it to the parents to decide if they'd like a weekend away, or a weekend with kids. If kids come, there are plenty of fun activities for them to enjoy throughout the weekend. Please let us know in your RSVP if you'll be bringing your kids and if you plan to stay on-site with them.
Absolutely! If you opt to stay at Camp, you'll be in group cabins, with rustic bunks, and group bathrooms. If this is your jam, please join us! If not, we recommend staying at a hotel or house nearby. See the accommodations page for recommendations.
Of course! Camp will be open to all guests throughout the long weekend, regardless of where you choose to stay. You can come enjoy Camp during the day and hangout at the private beach (100 yards long!), kayak, play volleyball, basketball, or just nap under a shady tree. You can also join us for events like the Tiki Party, Wedding, and Bagel Brunch.
Sleeping bag, pillow, towels (beach & shower) at a minimum. Sunscreen, bug spray, bathing suit, hiking shoes, sandals, beach chair, blanket, beach umbrella, ice chest, snacks, drinks, etc. Photos of friends and family from home, letter writing supplies, stamps, wigs, you know the drill.
The cost depends on the total number of people that stay, but you can expect between $100-$150 per day per person including meals.
We can begin checking in Thursday, 8/5 starting around 3pm, and will need to check out on Monday 8/9 by 12pm. Of course you can arrive anytime after check in and depart any time before checkout, it's completely up to you and your schedule.
Unfortunately dogs aren't allowed at Camp. Feel free to bring your dog if you're staying offsite, but know they won't be able to join you when you come to Camp.
August in Tahoe is delightful. Expect 80's during the day, and mild 50's at night. The mountains can be unpredictable, so be prepared for anything (snow unlikely). The lake will be the warmest it gets this time of year, so be ready to enjoy it!
It's a prom themed celebration, so bring your best gowns and suits. We encourage you to have fun with your outfit! The ceremony will take place on the beach, and the reception will be outside on the lawn. It will be warm when we get started and likely cool off into the night, so bring a layer to keep you warm.
We recommend taking a Lyft or Uber. There will not be transportation to the wedding, and there is limited parking on-site.
The Nevada State 4-H Camp is located at: 4-H Rd, Stateline, Nevada 89449.
Your presence is truly all we need! If you insist on giving a gift, our registry will be available shortly.
