Jake and I met in high school ceramics class, where our shared laughter made even the messiest projects the best part of the day. Of course, on the very first day of school with open seating, I headed straight for the back table where Jake was sitting. We quickly became close friends, but as life happened, we disconnected after graduation. Five years later, fate stepped in when I ran into him at the gym. A quick hello turned into reconnecting online, which effortlessly spun into spending nearly every single summer day together. Those sun-soaked days turned into late-night drives, Dutch Bros runs, hiking adventures, and dinner dates. It didn't take long to realize this was something special, and we officially became a couple on August 8, 2021. Since then, we’ve been by each other's sides through thick and thin, celebrating major milestones back-to-back. Jake graduated from the Police Academy in December 2022, we welcomed our first fur baby, Bella, in March 2023, we bought our very first home in July 2024, and I graduated from Nursing School in December 2024. Right in the middle of all those big life changes, Jake took me to a beautiful beach in Hawaii with a lighthouse in the background and asked me to marry him on June 11, 2024. We’ve come a long way since ceramics class, and we truly wouldn’t be here today without the endless love and support of our families. We can’t wait to start our next chapter with all of you at Catta Verdera this September!
