Maid of Honor
Since the day they met in 1999, Maz and Rie have been best friends. From diapers and happy meals to university exams and mixed drinks, these two have a magical, powerful, resilient sisterhood.
Man of Honor
"The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb" Some brotherhoods are born, others are discovered. This is a brotherhood of discovery. Noah and Sav met in their early 20's, and despite awkward social conflicts in the beginning, these two were inseparable almost immediately. Savvy has since been formally adopted into the Giles' family, which is one of the greatest blessings of both of our lives.
Bridal Party
In 2009, through the dust of the Scene Kid Era, Maz crushed heavy on Sea's myspace style selfies popping up on a then archaic facebook feed. Before care reacts, when "poking" somebody's profile was almost flirting. The day they finally exchanged actual words was the day a truly spectacular relationship formed. As teenagers, these two were almost inseparable. Sleepovers every weekend Maz's parents would let her, random adventures in discount shops around town, exploring Florida's beaches. Sea has held Maz through her worst struggles, nurturing her as she grew. She still does now, despite everything that has happened in the last 10 years, and 1,500 miles between them for half of it.
Groom's Party
Growing up, Savvy and Taylor were often confused for twins. As similar as the two may be, their unique differences only contribute to their great dynamic.
Bridal Party
Picture this: August 2010, first day of high school, lost, up to her ears in nerves & stress sweat. Maz approaches a cute kid in a Panic At The Disco t shirt in the hallway. (It's James.) Quickly they discover they are both looking for something called the "fishbowl" which made no sense to them then. In the blink of an eye, these two are family. Every day of high school you would find them together. The first thing Maz did when she got off the bus in the mornings was beeline to lockers in the Writer's Wing where they always met. Every morning, every afternoon, between classes, in class- it didn't matter. These two were attached at the hip. Not long later, James' parents became like supplementary caregivers to Maz, even wrapping gifts for her under their Christmas tree.
Groom's Party
Over many states and time zones, Billie has been one of Savvy's dearest friends. The pair met in Maine so many years ago when they worked together at Silver Street Tavern. Whether it's the intense serious stuff or joyful folly, Billie enriches Sav's life.
Bridal Party
Once a sister, always a sister. This relationship transcended typical family roles and expectations because of it's strength and value. This pair finally met in 2017 when Maz moved to Denver. The first true connection Maz made when she arrived, and certainly the most powerful since. They lived together for a while then, and live together again now. When it works, it works!
