We’ll be arriving in Dhërmi earlier in the week, and official wedding events begin on Friday, May 29. If you’d like to join us for all scheduled festivities, we recommend arriving by Thursday, May 28. To attend the wedding itself, please plan to arrive no later than Friday, May 29.
We will be staying at La Brisa, linked in the travel page of our website. You're more than welcome to stay here with us! Otherwise, Dhërmi has a variety of boutique and budget hotels. We recommend staying along Dhërmiu Beach to be within walking distance of the wedding.
We’ll share any group transfer options closer to the date. Please RSVP so we can pick the dates/times that will work best for you and get a rough headcount! Taxis and private transfers are also readily available, and car rentals are also an option.
Festive Beach Cocktail: Bright colors, bold textures & playful silhouettes invited - don't be afraid to make a splash! Dresses/skirts of any length, chic sets, lightweight suits (ties optional). The wedding will be ON THE BEACH: heels discouraged; sandals are fine! PLEASE NO BLACK; NO WHITE DRESSES Mood board (copy and paste the link): https://www.pinterest.com/mayzieshaver/mayzie-tors-wedding-dress-code/
Yes! If you have a child that was not included in your invite, please just let us know so we can add them to the headcount.
Dhërmi sits in one of the most beautiful parts of the Balkan coast, making it a great base for exploring beaches, history, culture, and even nearby countries. If you’re staying longer, here are some ideas: In Dhërmi & the Albanian Riviera: Drymades Beach – Wide, relaxed, and perfect for swimming or sunbathing. Gjipe Beach & Canyon – A must-see: dramatic cliffs opening onto a secluded turquoise bay (hike or boat). Dhërmi Old Village – Charming stone houses, churches, and sunset views over the sea. Jalë – A lively bay with beach clubs and crystal water. Llogara Pass National Park – Mountain hikes, incredible viewpoints, and fresh mountain air. Himara – A nearby coastal town ideal for lunch, strolling, and swimming. Elsewhere in Albania: Berat – UNESCO town with Ottoman-era houses and a photogenic old quarter. Gjirokastër – Another UNESCO site with a hilltop castle and dramatic stone architecture. Saranda & Ksamil – Beaches that look like the Caribbean, plus easy access to Greece. Tirana – Albania’s vibrant capital, full of cafés, culture, and nightlife. From southern Albania (Saranda), Greece is right next door: Corfu – A short ferry ride from Saranda; known for its Venetian old town, beaches, and great food. Ioannina & Epirus region – Lakes, mountain villages, and dramatic nature, about 2–3 hours from the Albanian border. Parga & Syvota – Charming seaside towns on the Greek mainland with coves, beaches, and colorful harbors. Italy lies just across the Adriatic: Bari – Reachable by ferry from Durrës; great food, historic old town, and seaside charm. Brindisi & Lecce (Puglia) – Beautiful Baroque towns, beaches, and some of Italy’s best cuisine. (Mayzie worked on an olive farm here for a month when she was 18!) Naples & the Amalfi Coast – Short flights from Tirana, connecting you to Capri, Positano, and Sorrento.
