Howard Cha Young Kim

Groom

Janneth Najera

Maid of Honor

Little sister, you have always been a little wiser a little kinder and always a little more amazing. You have also always been a little smart ass, a little diva, and a little pain in my ass. I am so happy you found your little piece of heaven with Howard. I like him :) I love you.

Chris Park

Best Man

So many memories together. From meeting him in Elementary school to singing together in high school, all the late night popeyes, carne asada fries, McDonalds, and talking about our lives and our future. I'm so happy that he's reached one of his main goals in life which is marrying the perfect woman of his dreams. I sincerely wish the best for him and his future family, and they will always and forever be in my prayers. God bless!

Sarah Marie

Maid of Honor

The truth is, family isn't just a unit you are born into. Kim is my friend, more importantly my sister, and currently my roommate! (Thank you for finally making my dreams come true!) ...That is until Howard takes you away! I care for you deeply and widely, feel extremely blessed, and can't image anyone else I would rather do life with. We have cried together during tough times, laughed a TON, and grown together over the years. Can't wait to walk this journey with you and Howard, even if it's from a far. Love you!

Phillip Liu

Best Man

Howard you are my brotha from another mother and all round companion and inspiration in culinary exploits and experiences. Kim you will forever be my neighbor, a confidant and a voice I trust. It's truly a once in a lifetime opportunity to see two of my best friends fall in love.

Rocio Kang

Matron of Honor

From the day I met Kimchi, I knew she would be my soul sister for life. I love talking with her for hours on end, making jokes that seem to go on forever, and just spending time with her. I love knowing that she deeply cares for me, and that I can do the same for her. Kim, you are my sister, my shoulder to lean on, bff, ex-husband...you are irreplaceable in my life. I am so excited for this next chapter in your life, and i'm looking forward to forcing you to have phone conversations with me when you move :)

Groomsman

When we were young, our mom would tell Howard to go to the candy aisle and pick something he likes. He'd always return with two. Mom (generally) would get pissed. Then he'd explain himself: one for himself and another for me - his brother. Of course, her anger would then subdue into pride. To me, that's always been Howard - thoughtful, giving, and peacemaking. I'm so happy that he has Kim to share such warmth with!

Bridesmaid

Kimmy and I have known each other for about 10 years now. She is my sister and was my boyfriend till Howard came in the picture. I consider Kimmy a best friend. We have been there for each other through many highs and lows in each other's lives, and I'm so happy I get to partake in another high moment in her life. Can't wait to celebrate Howard & Kimmy. Love you both.

As a brother, having you as a sister has been a blessing and really fun; from losing to you in soccer, to now watching you get married. I can't wait to see what you and Howard have in store together. I love you guys and wish you nothing but the best.

Taylor Rapson

Bridesmaid

Some of the best and most profound friendships often turn into family. Friends become ride or die companions, they become siblings. But with Kim, we were sisters before we were friends. We were brought together by a bond between our hearts that filled so many holes, healed so many wounds. And the most profound friendship has blossomed as a result of that. Kim, my sister, words could never fully grasp how much you mean to me. You've single-handedly taught me so much about redemption, courage, and perseverance. I could not be more excited for this new journey you and Howard are about to embark on and am so glad he gave you the final rose ;)

I first got to know Howard over long conversations about God, justice, ethnic identity, ministry, and music. I first got to know Kim over long conversations about God, justice, ethnic identity, ministry, and coaxing her to sing. I think they will complement each other well.

Sometimes friends come into your life right when you need them. They fill your head with wisdom and your heart with happiness. Kim, you are my anchor, my cheerleader, my Bachelor(ette) buddy for life. You lead me exactly where I need to be. I’m grateful for you and SO incredibly excited for this next adventure. I know it’s gonna be a good one!

Groomsman

Howard is one of the funnest people I know; he’s always down for adventure! I got to know him when we interviewed together to work for InterVarsity, and then ministered together at Pasadena City College & Occidental College. Howard is someone I thought would just be a good friend, but ended up as a brother I’ll always treasure.

Leslie Kearsley

Bridesmaid

I have my old apartment, 449, #9, to thank for my relationship with Kim! -- we were roommates in Westwood for 4 years (the longest I've ever lived with one roommate for)! Kim is someone I can always count on to have a fun time, enable each other to make the BEST purchases, and always lend a listening ear and wise advice. We crack each other up when we're together and it's pretty awesome.

Howard and I met in 5th grade. The moment we met eyes, I knew I wanted to become his friend, being that we were both Big and Korean and most importantly Pastor Kids. We would go to each other's houses to play video games, Yugioh cards, swim, and eat pizza and Krispy Creme. Entering our teenage years together, Howard introduced me to a lot of different music and of course, Naruto, our interests shifted to football and girls, but nothing about us changed. To this day, I see Howard as I saw him in 5th Grade, just with a lot more hair. Every memory with Howard, old and new, is always fun, precious, and irreplaceable.

Annie Rittenhouse

Bridesmaid

Kim and I first met in second grade, where we enjoyed making mud balls together and throwing wet paper towels onto the bathroom ceiling. In high school, we were in the same classes, played soccer together, and had sewing parties and sleepovers at her house. Then we were roommates for four years at UCLA, which is when we really got to know each other. Through high school calculus to east coast expeditions, watching One Tree Hill on the couch in her back room to walking around campus having discussions about government and making the world a better place, we have lots of memories together - both good and bad. But through it all, Kim has always been a friend who challenges me, loves me, and makes me a better person and I'm so excited to be part of her wedding.

Kevin Chau

Groomsman

Howard and I met in high school and went through quite a bit of school together. We had good times on random drives on food runs when he still lived nearby. Games and games and games were the past time of choice.
