A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away... just kidding. More like five years ago, in this galaxy, there were a group of nerds that worked in a lab but liked to hangout and actually be friends outside of work (weird, right?). On one particular outing at Battle and Brew, a local gamer bar, two friends of the group arrived early. It was probably the first time they had ever talked alone together. After burning down some kitchens in Overcooked, he asked her to hang out again, just the two of them. A movie. But this was not the first date - he made that clear. It was not until after that not-a-date movie that he asked her out for a real date, arcade games, and dinner at Spring (v. FANCY). The date was November 22nd, 2019, and her date was the most nervous gentleman, even gifting her with an excessive amount of chocolate the week after. And the chocolate overload must have worked. Years later, they still return to Spring to celebrate their first date anniversary. Though adventures have taken them snowboarding down mountains, eating still-squirming tentacles, swimming with stingrays, chasing an eclipse, and so much more, the journey to 'I do' will be their most memorable yet.
