1981: Chad was born in Lufkin, TX to Marha and Beamon Smith. 1991: Mayte was born in Mexico City, MX to Teresa and Luis Alquicira.

January: Mayte was transferred to work for Cinepolis at their USA headquarters in Dallas, Tx. August: Chad was working at Moviehouse & Eatery in Austin, TX. The companies then merged. October: Mayte and Chad met at a company dinner BUT they don’t remember each other. There were too many people, Mayte was working the logistics of the event and Chad just wanted to go back to Austin where we was living at the time 🤣

This little thing called COVID happened and some internal adjustments had to be made in the company. With that, Mayte and Chad were assigned to work together in a project. After a few meetings, they began to talk a little bit more about themselves rather than the project (🤫 don't tell their bosses!)

Chad visited Mayte in Dallas, TX and they became each other's best friend and support throughout the pandemic and work challenges. Each day they discovered all the things they had in common that brought them together and those that are so different that balance each other out. Mayte and Chad began their romantic relationship and never looked back. Their love story has many blank pages ahead and they're so excited to keep on creating their life together.
