FAQs

Question

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

We recommend flying to one of our recommended airports and renting a car to drive up to Livingston Manor. It is about a 2 hour drive to Livingston from New York. Unfortunately, there are no trains from Manhattan.

Question

Will there be transportation to the wedding?

Answer

We will provide shuttles from the Days Inn and Homestedt to the wedding and back. This is also why we recommend staying in one of these two options. Ubers are more challenging to come across in the area.

Question

Are there Ubers and Lyfts?

Answer

Yes, but they are a lot more challenging to come across and the surge pricing is expensive. We recommend staying at one of our selected accommodations to use the shuttle to the wedding.

Question

Is there parking at the Beaverkill Valley Inn?

Answer

Yes, guests may choose to drive and park at the wedding venue.

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

Although we love your kids, in order to give our guests (and parents!) a weekend of relaxation, we respectfully request no children at any wedding-related events.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

The average temperature in Livingston in August ranges from 60-85 degrees. Make sure to dress for warmer weather!

Question

Will your wedding be indoor or outdoor?

Answer

The BVI has acres of beautiful land and we want to take full advantage of it. The majority of our wedding will be outside in the grass and our after party will be in the bar attached to the Inn.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

For the welcome drinks and wedding we will be offering drinks on us! For our pool party the next day we will have a cash bar available.

Question

What should I pack?

Answer

Our wedding is semi-formal and will be in the grass so pack the appropriate shoes. You'll also want to bring your swimming suit for the pool party the next day! Attire recs and suggestions are listed in the schedule. If you want to get some hiking in while you're here, pack some comfy clothes too.
