Mayson's Experience: In May 2025, I decided to take a solo trip to my favorite place outside of Seattle- Scotland. When I arrived at my house-sit, reality hit: What the fuck have I done? One month, in another country, no friends, no plans… So naturally, I coped the only reasonable way- with a bottle of Tesco champagne. Luckily, I didn’t have long to feel alone. That same night, I met a wild Englishwoman (who looked suspiciously like Tim Curry) who dragged me out to BLOC+ for karaoke. Just six hours into my trip, everything changed. A voice cut through the room, belting out Bonnie Tyler’s Total Eclipse of the Heart. Drunk, jet-lagged, and riding that unmistakable Scotland energy, I ran up and scream-sang the rest of the song beside him. When it ended, we hugged… and he walked away. It still terrifies me that could have been the end of the story. Devans and Lewis- this open bar is in your honor. Thank you for telling him to get his ass back over to my table and ask if I was single. What followed was a whirlwind month of late-night dates and early mornings. On our last night together, before I flew back to the States, we said “I love you" and decided to see where this might go. And I’m really, really glad we did. Daniel's Experience:
