The couple has decided to, and are extremely excited to, tie the knot at the oldest courthouse in Fort Worth, with only immediate family present. The couple would still like to celebrate with their favorite people via eating dinner, dancing and having a margarita - or two! With that being said, this is a wedding yes- but think of it more as a party for the newlyweds!
As much as we would love to have each and every one of our guests to attend the courthouse prenuptials with us. Due to limited spacing inside the courthouse we have selected only our immediate family members- parents and siblings to accompany us. Those of which will receive additional information in the formal invitation.
Although we would love to offer a plus one to all guests, we have a strict guest list to meet our venue restrictions. We appreciate your understanding and can’t wait to celebrate with you.
Though we love your little ones like they are our own, due to limited spacing we are requesting that all children stay home unless specified on your invite.
The dress code is cocktail/cowboy! Given that we're celebrating in the Stockyards, we'd love for you to embrace the spirit of the occasion. For the gentlemen, we suggest suits, button-downs, and pressed jeans—just keep your toes covered and skip the polos. For the ladies, feel free to go full cocktail, cowgirl, or anywhere in between. While we do not have hotel room blocks reserved, there are many hotels and Airbnb’s available very close to the venue. Please see our page on Travel for suggestions and more information.
While our reception takes place at La Puertita, a private venue located just across the street from the popular Joe T Garcia's restaurant in the Stockyards, parking is convenient and accessible. La Puertita features an attached parking lot for your use, and you're also welcome to park in the Joe T Garcia lots if needed.
We'll have a bar at the reception featuring margaritas, beer, and wine. If you'd like something beyond our menu, we recommend bringing cash—Joe T Garcia's has an outdoor bar with a wonderful selection, and it's a great opportunity to explore their beautiful gardens!
The reception ends at 9:45, in which the couple will stay behind for a private last dance. We encourage the party to continue- but at a new location within the stockyards! Please see wedding day timeline & schedule for additional details.
