If you're visiting NOLA for the first time, you HAVE to try the famous coffee and beignets from Cafe Du Monde! Get here early and bring cash. It is well worth the wait (and the extra calories).
Jackson Square
Take a stroll in and around Jackson Square! Located right across the street from Cafe Du Monde, Jackson Square is home to the famous St. Louis Cathedral. Pack some walking shoes, because there are plenty of unique shops you can walk to near Jackson Square.
Canal Place
If you're in need of a little retail therapy, stop in at Canal Place Mall to satisfy your luxury-brand needs.
Bourbon Street
For the party crowd, come on down to the infamous Bourbon Street. From "hand grenades", to "fish bowls", to your classic daquiri, your favorite Bride and Groom have tried it all. There are plenty of bars and clubs to stop in at on Bourbon. *Walking down Bourbon is NOT recommended as a solo-excursion, please travel in a group. We want to ensure that all of our guests stay safe. Laissez Le Bon Temps Rouler!
The National WWII Museum
The National World War II Museum is beautifully constructed, and will take you an entire afternoon to complete. The Bride and Groom even had an anniversary-date at this museum! If you have the time, this museum is well-worth the visit!
Shops of the Colonnade, AKA "French Market"
We absolutely love walking through the French Market. There are hundreds of local vendors that sell wood carvings, ornaments, hand-made jewelry, chocolates, soaps, and much more!
New Orleans Botanical Gardens
If the weather is holding up, please stop by and explore the beautiful New Orleans Botanical Gardens. This location was the runner-up for the Bride and Groom's choice in wedding venue. Bring lots of water and a hat if the sun is out, and enjoy quiet nature in the heart of a bustling city.
