Question

Wait, the ceremony and reception are on different days? Which am I invited to?

Answer

Yes! We chose to separate our ceremony and reception over two days! We want to prioritize spending time with our friends and family while you are here, and not feel rushed! We also chose to keep our ceremony very small, with only immediate family and our wedding party. We are excited to have a larger gathering on our reception day! Our reception will include cocktail hour, speeches, dinner, cake cutting, a dance party, and all of our favorite wedding traditions! The save the date you received will specify which events you are invited to! This will also be shown when you go to RSVP on the website. Thank you for your understanding and support!

What will the venue be like?

Answer

Outside Inn is a "nature hotel" and is mostly outdoors, with the exception of bedrooms and bathrooms! Think summer camp, but with much nicer accommodations! Our reception will be held at the Pavilion, a covered deck for dancing and dining, and the Lodge, an indoor gathering space with couches and restrooms. The roads and paths around the property aren't paved, so be prepared with shoes comfortable for gravel or uneven surfaces.

What is the weather like in Salida?

Answer

Salida is located at the end of the Arkansas River Valley, a relatively warm and dry region of the Rockies. Typical weather in August includes highs in the 70s and 80s, with nighttime lows in the 40s. Since our venue is mainly outdoors, come prepared in case of unpredictable Colorado weather!

Will there be a hotel block?

Answer

We are not doing a traditional hotel block, but there are many lodging options. Please check out the lodging page of our website for our recommendations!

Getting to the venue, and parking

Answer

If you are staying in the nearby towns of Salida or Poncha springs, it is about a 15 minute drive to our venue. You are welcome to drive and park on site, but please try to carpool as parking is limited!
