We met when we were just 19 years old, on one of those old-school party line phone chats—you know, the one that would say, “Say hello…” (LOL). What started as a simple conversation turned into hours of talking, laughing, and getting to know each other. Eventually, we decided to meet in person, not realizing that moment would change everything. That very night, our lives intertwined in the most unexpected way. At the time, I was still living with my parents and preparing to move out, and Jay didn’t have a place to stay—so he hid out in my closet until I got my own apartment. It wasn’t conventional, but it was us. We spent a few months together before life took us in different directions. Even so, we never truly lost each other—we stayed in touch and remained friends throughout the years. Then, in 2019, we found our way back to each other. What began as reconnecting soon turned into something more, and in 2020, we made it official. This time, everything felt right. In 2025, we took the next big step and got engaged. And now, in 2026, we’re preparing to become husband and wife—proof that what’s meant to be will always find its way back.
