Let's set the scene: It's 2020 and Danielle's sister (Andrea) and Ryan's best friend (Jacob) start dating. I'm sure you can probably guess how this story is going to play out for Danielle and Ryan... A few months down the road, Ryan begins to make the 2 hour drive every weekend from Fort Campbell Army Base (where he was finishing up his time in the Army) to Spring Hill, just wanting to hang out with his best friend Jacob. Now with Jacob came Andrea, and 3 was just too odd of a number. Jacob was determined to find Ryan a girl, and he knew just the one! So without a doubt, as fate would have it, Ryan was introduced to Danielle by Jacob and Andrea and it was love at first sight...for Ryan that is. After group movie nights, group hikes, late night Waffle House and ice cream runs, dinners together, bonfire nights, and every creative idea they had during the height of Covid; we are left with an eager-to-date Ryan, and a very much hesitant Danielle. What sealed the deal for Danielle was a "suggested" and "highly encouraged" "arranged" impromptu drive down to Chattanooga with Ryan to meet up with Jacob and Andrea after coming back from a trip the two of them took together. The 2 hour car ride there and back was filled with non stop talking and really getting to know each other. A little awkward at times, but what else can you expect? About a month after this trip, after spending more and more time together, Ryan professed his love for Danielle on her front porch on a hot and humid July night and asked her to be his girlfriend. Oh, and spoiler alert- she said yes. Ryan and Danielle dated for the next three years! Countless date nights (most of them being at Mojos Tacos), movie nights, hiking, kayaking, church groups, sporting events (as a result, Danielle is now a Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins fan by default), getaway trips, meeting each other's family, and everything in between, filled up lots of their quality time together. In addition to all of the fun times they shared together throughout their three years of dating, they also learned a lot about each other through the difficult times. By the help of Jesus navigating them through those storms in life, they came out stronger and even more in love. Ryan and Danielle are each other's biggest life cheerleaders and biggest motivators (despite how stubborn they both can be) :D ...So now here we are, Ryan has popped the question to Danielle on the hill they hike up every year on their anniversary to watch the sunset, and they are ready to embark on the greatest adventure in life called marriage.
