We met at my first Sunday service coming back and attending Christ Memorial Church in 2023. And I remember thinking when I was talking with Anne and another friend....Anne is pretty cute, and just logged that away in my brain. Time went by as I got settled into this new season at CMC and serving there, and we found ourselves together often, which I took advantage of. We served on the craft team that summer bible camp, we both attended our College & Career group, and we were often at the same friend parties. Chatting and hanging out as friends. In the fall of 2023 and for the next 6 months I very intentionally got to know Anne at church and church events, taking the opportunity to connect whenever I could to learn more about her and observe her in the group. Eventually May 2024 rolled around and my feelings for her hadn't changed and I felt I had exhausted the "friend zone" relationship. So I texted her to ask if she wanted to get breakfast on Saturday May 18th, with no details. I didn't keep her in suspense for too long after we ordered food, and asked her if she would be ok with pursuing a relationship and starting to date one another. And by God's grace she said yes! And here we are 1.5yrs later getting married after she said yes again!
