Storm King is an open air museum with tons of large scale sculptures spanning over 500 acres. It reopens for the season in May and is a perfect activity for a sunny day! Don't forget your walking shoes.
Rachel and her family spent many years apple picking when these were just orchards. Now it's an awesome Winery / Distillery with great pizzas and typically has live music.
We love hanging at Drowned Lands - whether inside the sleek, modern bar room or outside on the expansive lawn with lawn games and live music. It's a great spot for all - even non beer drinkers. We plan on spending time here on Saturday afternoon.
We haven't been ourselves but have heard great things about Brotherhood. If you're interested in trying some local wines, this definitely the spot.
Whether you have kids with you or are a kid at heart - Legoland is a great place to spend the day and not too far from the venue.
Forgot your suit at home? No problem! Hit up this other Mayer family favorite for all your shopping needs.
If you have a hankering for roadside ice cream (we always do) on your way in or out, this is a must-stop. We stopped here before getting our marriage license <3
There are TONS of adorable small towns nearby to bop around but Beacon is the best and closest (in our opinion). If you're looking to spend the day strolling down Main Street, this is the place. (Also home of Dia Beacon - an art museum focusing on light)
