FAQs

The Wedding Website of Mayela Arana and Mark Hannan
Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your kiddos, but we’d like our big day to be your night off. Even the best parents need a break sometimes!

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We’re thrilled to have you with us on our special day and would love for everyone to dress in formal attire! This means a tuxedo or a dark suit and tie, floor-length, midi, or tea-length dresses. Since our ceremony includes a Catholic mass, we ask that shoulders be covered as a sign of respect while in the church, but don't worry, you can ditch your shawl for the rest of the night!

Question

What is a Catholic Gap?

Answer

The Catholic gap is the time between the end of a Catholic wedding ceremony and the start of the reception. We anticipate our ceremony will end around 4:15pm and our reception will begin at 6pm. Think of this as a little bit of free time between events to grab a snack, a drink, shoe change, or even a quick cat nap to recharge for a night of dancing!

Question

How do I get from Manhattan to Weehawken?

Answer

Don't worry! We are providing transportation. Please help us, help you and let us know in your RSVP what transportation you will need. There are also plenty of other options, like Ubers, Lyfts, and the New York Waterway Ferry to Lincoln Harbor. The swim across is only 1 mile—wayyyyy shorter than the Chesapeake Bay—but we don't recommend it.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Please check your invitation and RSVP form for the details on who’s included in your party.
