Ben and Whitney met at a party that Whitney's best friend and her were throwing and they invited Ben and his roommates to come, which they did! Whitney proceeded to spend the entire night hanging out with them and apparently she charmed him enough!

The year before, Ben and Whitney went to Montana to visit her dad and step mom; she took him out to a place called Kootenai Falls, where there is a huge swinging bridge and they had walked across it to see the other side and take pictures. Fast forward a year, they had gone back yet again to see her dad, and Ben asked her if she wanted to go back to the bridge and see what it looked like now; of course she said yes to this adventure. They walked across the bridge and he looked at her and said, “Hey, why don’t you get pictures of the water now!” and so she turned around and started snapping pictures. Then he dropped onto one knee and obviously she said yes!
