How We Met
High School Not-So-Sweethearts
We both went to Webster Groves High School, but Zach was a Senior when Kaitlyn was a Freshman. Thus, even though Kaitlyn knew Zach (and had creepily added Zach on Facebook some 11 years ago), Zach was unaware of Kaitlyn's existence until March 23rd, 2018, on our first date. We officially met over Bumble, when Zach dogfished Kaitlyn (posted a picture with a dog that was not actually his), and Kaitlyn commented on his adorable dog. The rest is history.
Proposal Story
Corona in Mexico
We went to Mexico on March 17th, right when coronavirus really started spreading. Zach proposed on the rocks overlooking the ocean, with no one around but the two of us. Kaitlyn cried, and Zach bragged about his amazing proposal skills. Kaitlyn said yes, obviously.
