Flight
For convenience, there is a direct flight from IAD to Cairo International Airport with EgyptAir, which we recommend. Other airlines are available as well, though most will have layovers. Once you arrive in Cairo, we suggest taking some time to explore this beautiful city before making your way to Alexandria. From Cairo, you can take a shuttle or taxi to Alexandria — the drive typically takes 2 ½ to 3 hours. Travel Tip: We recommend planning your trip with other guests so you can carpool to Alexandria. It’s a great way to travel together and start celebrating early!

For guests traveling with a U.S. passport, a tourist visa can be purchased upon arrival at the airport in Egypt for $25 USD (cash).
