Our story began as dance partners in the raas line during Navarati season, which quickly turned into hanging out during the post Garba Taco Bell runs. After our Garba nights, Mayank finally got the courage to ask Richa on a first date to the most classiest of places...Chipotle. After a few weeks of getting to know each other, Mayank decided to keep the fast food tradition going. He asked Richa to be his girlfriend in the same Taco Bell parking lot as those post Garba nights. The true testament to our relationship started when we went off to college, being 3 hours apart as first year college students. Both of us found any excuse to come home or find ways to see each other as much as we could. After putting a lot of extra mileage on our cars and a little help from Skype and FaceTime, we ended up surviving long distance not only during our undergraduate years but also through our pharmacy school years. Eight years of long distance came to an end last year when both of us moved back to Cleveland, excited to finally be in the same city again. On October 25th, 2019, our lives changed forever in the best way possible. Mayank proposed to Richa in downtown Cleveland, the city we both love and call home. The surprises for Richa did not end at the proposal. Mayank had planned a surprise engagement party at our favorite winery, Michaelangelo’s Winery. Our proposal would have been incomplete without the love and support of our closest family and friends to celebrate us on our special night. With the covid pandemic postponing our wedding, eleven years later we are now days away from the best day of our lives! Like many say, good things come to those that wait!
