Mayanka was curious about the cute guy who was going to be joining her team at work. She was tasked with showing him around the office, as they were paired together as buddies. She of course had already looked him up online and was on point when giving him the office tour on his first day, not knowing he had actually interned in the office the previous summer. Jake of course, indulged her since he didn’t want to interrupt the cute girl who was showing him around, who he had also looked up previously online. Over the next two years, Jake and Mayanka would occasionally see each other when they crossed paths in the office, as they were often travelling for their own consulting projects. The stars aligned when they were placed on the same project for the first time. Jake invited Mayanka to his old teams’ happy hour and they commiserated for hours on the challenges of their project. One by one, the other happy hour guests left, and Jake and Mayanka realized that maybe, just maybe the love of their life had been sitting one desk over all along!! A few weeks later, Jake and Mayanka went on their first date to JINYA Ramen Bar. Their relationship grew over many a bowl of spicy soup and excel spreadsheets. In August 2021, Jake surprised Mayanka by proposing and arranging for their families and friends to gather and celebrate! We are now excitedly planning our intimate wedding celebration, and cannot wait to get married amongst family and friends.
