Question

When should I plan to arrive at Priest Lake?

Answer

Whenever you want! Many guests will be arriving on Thursday, June 22, and Friday, June 23. On Friday June 23, we will be hosting an afternoon on the lake followed by an evening dinner for all guests. Please see our wedding schedule page for full information.

Question

What are the lodging options?

Answer

There are a number of lodging options at and within a short drive of our wedding venue, Elkins Resort. Availability throughout Priest Lake does go fast, even a year out, so please see our Lodging and Travel page for full information on options and timelines. With hotels filling up, we recommend reserving an Airbnb asap.

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

We love your kiddos. A lot. So we are sad they will not be able to be at our wedding; there are just too darn many of those cuties for us to have enough lodging at and around the venue, so we are doing a no-kids wedding weekend. If you are brining your kids to take advantage of a longer family vacation, please find lodging offsite near the resort.

Question

What's the attire?

Answer

Formal. What does that look like? Long dresses for women; suits or slacks and blazers for men. That is meant as helpful guidance. It is not a strict rule. Have fun with it and please wear whatever makes you feel fabulous!

Question

Isn't Mark hitting way above his average with May?

Answer

Yes.

Question

What are your COVID-19 precautions and testing requirements?

Answer

Our priority is to celebrate with you all safely, and not put any guests or resort team members at risk. Our COVID-19 precautions and testing requirements are driven by the most current recommendations from medical and public health experts. We ask that all guests take an antigen, at-home test upon arriving at Priest Lake and before departing - and anytime if you are having any symptoms. We will have extra antigen tests available. Please note that given the fast-changing COVID-19 variants and the uncertainty of the pandemic, we may need to reevaluate our COVID requirements and policies closer to the wedding weekend. Thank you for your understanding and flexibility.

Question

What is the weather like at Priest Lake in late June?

Answer

It can be all over the place! It could be sunny and hot. It could rain. The average high at Priest Lake in June is about 80 degrees, but it can get chilly (in the upper 40s) at night. Our wedding and reception will be outside. In the event of rain, we will have a tent for the wedding and reception.

Question

Is May going big on the DIY craftiness?

Answer

Yes. Unbelievably so.
